Thursday 7 September

17.00 – 20.00 Short tour of Båthallen (boat hall) focusing on the Oselvar, by Stig Salbu Henneman and Kjell Magnus Økland, tour outside, launching, rigging and boat use

On the shore in Mjelkevika: Short presentation of the participants, the boats and boat owners at the seminar. Out on the fjord: the participants get to know the inner parts of the Fanafjord

20.00 – 21.00 Dinner: meat and vegetable soup/stew

Kjell Magnus Økland: Are there rules of thumb regarding the rigging of square rigs and sprit sails on the Oselvar and if so, what are they? Short discussion

Practical information about today’s tasks with measurements on land and activities out on the fjord

10.00 – 11.30 Measuring sails and rigging, hulls, thwarts and oarlocks on land

11.30 – 12.00 Rigging, preparation

12.00 – 12.30 Packed lunch outside/landing on the beach in Mjelkevika, or other location

12.30 – 15.30 Sailing with starting line and drone/time lapse filming and return to land

15.30 – 16.00 Landing and taking down rigging on boats

16.00 – 17.00 Dinner at the museum potatoes/meat balls/mushy peas and vegetables

17.00 – 20.00 Seminar in the auditorium in Båthallen:
