Oselvarverkstaden builds boats and takes care of the ancient craft of boat building. Here apprentices and more experienced boat builders work in teams, the young to learn the oselvar tradition from the experienced. The traditional boat builder’s knowledge of the oselvar is the most detailed and complete that exists today. In this way, oselvar builders can build boats with nets that have the features users need. The workshop has an exhibition on the second floor that illustrates a thousand years of construction and use. Groups can be given a tour of the exhibition and workshop by arrangement.
